Amanda Kostedt is magic.
Our wedding day was gray, rainy, and wet and she (and her faithful assistant) gracefully and graciously weaved their way through the crazy to capture the glimpses of joy, love, and goofiness. I can't imagine anyone else photographing the first day of our marriage.
She will cater to your needs, she will be flexible, she will be invisible when she needs to be, she will get sopping wet and crawl through mud to get a beautiful shot, she will blow your mind with the results. I'm so thankful she was there.

Amanda is an absolutely amazing photographer and a joy to work with. She photographed my wedding in August and she brought a smile, zest for her art, a bit of whimsy and some extreme talent with her. My photos were everything I could have ever imagined. In our Pre-photo interview I told her I wanted more of a documentation of the day versus a traditional wedding photographer setup and she did a blend of both that took my breath away. She is easy to work with, energetic, great with kids and grandmas alike and did I say talented? Photography is an art and Amanda owns her talent. 5 stars plus...

My husband and I planned an elopement to AK. We Skyped with Amanda and James a couple of times and met her in person the day before the wedding. As a wedding planner myself, it means everything to arrive on time, prepared, and ready for the unknown...Amanda was all of that and above. She was a pleasure to work with and her photos (well, I guess our photos;)) are stunning. We were able to share on social media with our friends and family that we had finally tied the knot with 'THE PHOTO' that we had traveled all the way to AK for! Fast forward to 9 weeks later and our photos arrived earlier than expected. Amanda is the best! We did an engagement session with her where she went out of her way to squeeze us in for our session before we left on a mid-morning flight. She was so much fun to work with, accommodated us to take some shots we requested, and the turn around to get our photos was super reasonable. The photos are amazing! She just shot our wedding this weekend, but I know without a shadow of a doubt that she captured it well and I can't wait to get the photos back!

Amanda is awesome!!!! (James too). I asked her to do a surprise proposal shoot (in Hawaii) and she did so well. We were in constant communication. She went above and beyond to scout the spots for me. Amanda and James photographed our wedding in December 2016 and it's taken me until now to find the words to express just how amazing the experience was. I've been in LOVE with Amanda's work since I was first exposed to it several years ago. I knew I wanted her to photograph my wedding long before there was even a wedding to photograph. Our wedding was in Charleston, SC and when I approached Amanda about traveling to CHS from Alaska, she jumped right on it! Working with Amanda and James was a dream. I appreciated her organization, professionalism, and extreme attention to detail. Working with them on wedding day was AMAZING! She had the most creative shots, found the coolest spots along Charleston's Battery, and took the most incredible pictures of our wedding and reception at the South Carolina Aquarium. I could literally go on for hours about Amanda's customer service and photography. Amanda and James, thank you so much for being such a big and wonderful part of our special day!

My fiancé and I live in Florida, but we were planning a vacation in Alaska and wanted to do our engagement pictures there so we found Amanda. She was awesome! She was very easy to work with throughout the whole process and was very communicative before we even got to Alaska. Since we didn't know much about Denali National Park, Amanda was very helpful in planning out the shoot and where we should go in the Park. She was very friendly and very easy to get along with so we totally felt comfortable around her. The pictures came out amazing, and we got a lot of compliments on them! :) We definitely recommend hiring Amanda as your photographer!

I hired Amanda Kolstedt and her husband to capture the moment I got on one knee to propose to my Fiancee Julianna Wild at Fox Island, over at Kenai Fjord National Park. Amanda was a true professional coordinating with me prior to the event and offering advice and guidance along the way. She was able to capture the 'Spirit of the place' as we had requested which isn't hard in the pristine landscapes of Alaska. If you are looking for a photographer look no further than this team, I get the sense that every time someone gets on one knee or a new set of pictures are taken it is an emotional moment for the couple and the photographer, Julianna and I felt that we were able connect at that emotional level with Amanda and that led to even more beautiful pictures. I loved everything about my wedding day, and thanks to Amanda, every detail is beautifully documented. Everyone that has seen our photos comments on how amazing they are, and I couldn't agree more. I love her style of photography, it's timeless and real, not over-processed and blown-out. I normally am very uncomfortable having my picture taken but it was the least painful photo experience I've ever had. And she was great to work with--she got to know us, really listened to what shots were important to us and why (and she got those shots!), was easily reachable, communicated with us every step of the way, and had great attention to detail. Amanda has many talents. She is a great wedding photographer, portrait, and even fashion photographer! She has a great moodiness (and even epic-ness) in her photos that I just adore. She really listens to what the client wants, while maintaining her vision as well (which you want, because she has a great eye). I've seen her shoot weddings in the worst of weather, and the photos still come out amazing. I've also styled shoots with her from bright, sunny days to stormy downpours--the images are always amazing. Book her, book her now! You won't regret it.
